Meridian International Center held an installment of its Global Business@Meridian Downtown breakfast series on May 13, 2015. Hosted by Mr. Drew Maloney, Vice President of Global Affairs and Public Policy for Hess Corporation, the program featured an off-the-record discussion with His Excellency David O'Sullivan, Ambassador of the European Union to the United States. Corporate Council members and guests engaged in a group discussion with Ambassador O'Sullivan on U.S. - E.U. bilateral/multilateral relations, the current business and trade climate within the E.U., and current opportunities and challenges for multi-national companies seeking to establish or expand their respective operations within the region. Topics covered included the implications of the TTIP and TPP agreements, privacy and intellectual property rights, and energy security.
