Naakoshie graduated from Howard University with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. While in college, she studied abroad at the University of Granada, Spain, where she volunteered with Intermon Oxfam International. She also studied at the Middlebury Language School at Mills College in Oakland, California, where she completed courses in French. Last March, Naakoshie participated in a staff exchange at the European Parliament and the Brussels Forum in Brussels, Belgium. She has also been an Intern at Africare, Meridian International Center, and at the Helsinki Commission in the House of Representatives. Naakoshie is a member of phi beta kappa, Gamma Chapter of the District of Columbia, and a volunteer at the Higher Achievement Program, where she mentors middle school children. She has travelled to Morocco, Ghana, and throughout Europe, and is proficient in Spanish and French.
