The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Meridian International Center begin a new partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding on Friday, December 2, 2011

Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Secretary General of FICCI and Mr. Anuj Gupta, Chairman of Meridian International Center India and Managing Director of The Duet Group, signed the MOU on behalf of FICCI and Meridian. The memorandum facilitates strengthening of ties between the two countries by providing a platform for interaction between key policy makers, business leaders, cultural organizations and educators from the U.S. and India.

Meridian’s long-standing role as the leading non-partisan, not-for-profit US organization dedicated to strengthening international understanding, and FICCI, the largest and oldest apex business organization of India, have planned exchanges through their new relationship in the public, private, cultural and academic sectors of India and the US.

Future collaborations will include exchanges drawing participants from the governmental, regulatory, business, educational and cultural professions, regular dialogues on pressing economic and political issues, and cultural, artistic, and civic exchanges.
