Dr. Curtis Sandberg - Vice President for Arts and Cultural Programs Print E-mail

Dr. Curtis Sandberg serves as Meridian's Vice President for Arts and Cultural Programs. Dr. Sandberg is responsible for developing and managing exhibitions presented by Meridian International Center. He also directs the Meridian Traveling Exhibition Service that takes Meridian-organized exhibits around the United States and the world.

As Vice President for Arts and Cultural Programs, Curtis Sandberg is responsible for developing and managing exhibitions presented by Meridian International Center. He also directs the Meridian Traveling Exhibition Service that takes Meridian-organized exhibits around the United States and the world, fostering connections with institutional and governmental partners in host communities. Dr. Sandberg holds a B.A. degree in classical archaeology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in anthropology from Harvard University. He has had extensive museum experience both in the United States and Europe, working in a variety of fields, including research, curatorial, collections oversight, catalogue organization, and archival management. He has been involved in a number of archaeological projects in the Middle East, Europe, and the United States. He has taught at Harvard University and at the John Burroughs School, Saint Louis, Missouri, and has lectured at national conferences, as well as at museums, diplomatic missions, and cultural organizations throughout the United States. Sandberg was a Rotary International Fellow, a Fulbright-Hayes Fellow, a Harvard Sinclair-Kennedy Fellow, and a Whiting Fellow.
