Beginning at 9:30am
at
Oxon Run Park
9th & Valley Streets, SE
Washington, DC*
On Saturday, December 3, Meridian International Center, as part of its Global Service Leaders Initiative (GSLI), will coordinate volunteer activities in over 50 countries around the world in honor of the United Nations International Volunteer Day. To recognize this Day of Service locally, Meridian will partner with Washington Parks and People and the DC Green Corps to plant over 100 trees in Oxon Run Park, located in Southeast Washington, DC. Please come appropriately dressed to get dirty (and green)!
Volunteers will be recruited from the Diplomatic Corps, and other international communities, to serve alongside Meridian staff and our partners. We hope you can join us and be a part of the International Day of Service.
