Meridian regularly presents lectures, performances, readings and other cultural events for Washington audiences.

Using exhibitions as a focal point, these special programs deepen the impact and offer new perspectives on the artwork. At these events, visiting artists discuss their work, dancers demonstrate their traditions, and speakers give further insights into relationships among cultures.

In addition, Meridian frequently partners with other local institutions to foster community interest in and support for the arts. Each June, Meridian collaborates with nine neighborhood museums for the Dupont-Kalorama Museum Walk Weekend. This event offers exhibitions, tours, music, demonstrations, lectures, and hands-on activities for all ages and interests. Meridian also participates in the annual Adams Morgan Community Festival, using our galleries to showcase the talents of local artists.
