Vietnam: Spirits of the Earth

Vietnam: Spirits of the Earth is the fruit of a collaboration between noted author Frances FitzGerald and photojournalist Mary Cross. The two have visited Vietnam many times, traveling the country together to create this vivid and insightful look at Vietnam today.

Mary Cross has authored several books of her reflective and insightful photographs, including Behind the Great Wall, Egypt and Morocco: Sashkara to the Sea. Her work has been exhibited across the United States and abroad.

Frances FitzGerald is the author of the 1972 Pulitzer Prize winning book on the Vietnam War, Fire in the Lake. Now she reports on Vietnam thirty years later. The author of a number of other books, Ms. FitzGerald is also a frequent contributor to The New Yorker.

Vietnam: Spirits of the Earth will be on view at Meridian International Center's White-Meyer Galleries
